Hi there, my name is Rut Harmse and I am an Interior Designer and Decorator. I have been working in the design industry for 9 years and completed my diploma at the Interior Design Institute. I enjoy designing spaces alongside my clients, making a a house a home by focusing on livable and practical solutions with no wasted spaces. I collabrate closely with my clients so that together we can find the ideal layout for their dream home. Our interior design focussed on creating the perfect layouts and using the spaces according to their needs and preferences. Together we make a home for which the client experiences a deep connection. It becomes their own definition of home. I have a passion for my own signature style of interior design which is a blend of modern and country style living. This style becomes visibly integrated into the homes that I create with my clients.

Commercial client projects follows the same strategy as house and home design clients. We work together on the layouts and designs to bring across the style that suits their brand and business best. I also collaborate with Architects and Civil Engineers at LC Designs and Archatease on commercial or large scale projects.

My home Villa 218 has inspired me to start a collection of home decor items which are not easily found in shops. The products are my own signature style of material and designs which I have tested and seen work. The materials and designs are soft on the eyes and give you a homey feel with natural earthy tones that blend with country style living but has a modern edge. I have an interest in art and to passion to discover the true meaning behind the artwork of the artist. I am also a passionate painter and creator.
